The War Against the War on Terror

Every day we are bombarded by MSM telling us that we are losing the Global War on Terror. CNN mocks the president, BBC trots out a seven month old story, given to them by Sunni terrorists (nice competent sourcing) about alleged atrocities, and CBS begins the era of the perky one to try and recover from the fictional news of Rathergate.

What started as whispers in the months after the September 11 attacks, has swelled into hysterical Deanscreams from the anti-American socialist lefties. Just today we have a lead story of a politician wishing that a U.S. Senator would shoot the president *between the eyes,* YGBSM! Yet MSM almost completely ignores stories like this, this, and this as an ex-Marine (yes, I know the difference) throws real Marines under the bus. NOTE: This is not a discussion of allegations in the news. If anyone is convicted by a court of law of atrocities, they should receive the most severe punishments allowed. Until then they are considered innocent.

Meanwhile, the underpants media fights to proclaim what is actually happening in Iraq, Afganistan, and around the world. Bloggers at home and abroad are exposing the lies and deceit of the amoral leftistas. We are in a battle for the future of our country. Americans cannot remain silent any longer. Patriotism is not defined by one's level of dissent. Our cause is just, we are winning, and we have the resolve to complete the victory.

Jarheads 1 Braindead Thugs 0

To the ranks of Sgt Dan Daly, GySgt John Basilone, and GySgt Carlos Hathcock, we can now add the name of former Marine Corporal Thomas Autry. While Daly, Basilone, and Hathcock distinguished themselves in combat, Autry proved his metal in an attack on the streets of Atlanta, this past Memorial Day.

While there is no comparison with the battlefield heroics of the countless Marines who have distinguished themselves in combat, Mr. Autry proved that a well trained Marine is always a force to be reckoned with. When five street vermin attempted to mug Autry, he did the wise thing and attempted to avoid the conflict. All the while, he kept his head about him and was securing the pocket knife from his backpack. When he was cornered and could no longer escape, he kicked the shotgun from the hands of one attacker and stabbed another as she jumped on top of him. He stabbed a third and disarmed a fourth attacker of his pistol before the crooks figured that they were outnumbered and fled to the nearest hospital. The female died of her chest wound and the rest were arrested.

Cpl Autry has a clear perspective on the whole incident. When told that many consider him a hero, Autry replied, "The heroes are those guys out there fighting for us every day and not getting any respect. That [killing his attacker] wasn't admirable, it was fight or flight - and I tried the flight."

Don't bring a knife to a gunfight, unless you are a US Marine. OO-RAH!!
